Job Summary:

NSL Analytical Services is looking for an Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting Team who is self-motivated, detail oriented, and possesses excellent technical accounting skills. The Accountant will perform all general accounting functions for the organization. Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, general ledger, standard and special journal entries, financial statements and reports, treasury management, account analysis, and account reconciliations.

Essential Functions*:   

  • Ensure compliance with appropriate Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and internal controls over financial reporting 
  • Assist with and act as the primary point-of-contact for auditor requests
  • Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
  • Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Advanced understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to use independent judgment.
  • Ability to manage and safeguard confidential information

Work Conditions/Physical Demands:

Office/General lab environment includes sitting, standing, and walking; infrequent lifting of up to 20 lbs., pulling, pushing, carrying, reaching, bending, twisting, climbing, squatting, and crouching.  Office is attached to a lab that contains toxic materials with possible exposure to odors, acids, fumes, and other reactive materials.
