NSL Analytical is proud to be one of a select number of independent commercial testing laboratories with ACLASS accreditation as a certified Third Party testing lab to test for lead and phthalates in toys and items such as metal parts on jewelry, as well as paints and coatings used in the manufacture of these items. NSL provides two types of testing services:

Third Party Testing - Compliance testing services required by CPSC to test lead levels using ICP or ICP MS to test lead at detection levels to 300ppm.

General Conformity testing and screening - providing companies with the testing necessary to validate that materials being used for products that ultimately are being sold for use by children under the age of 12 years old are good.

NSL has the capability to test inorganic materials such as lead and leach soluble heavy metals using ICP MS instrumentation per ASTM F963-07. Surface coating materials other than lead that can be tested for include:

• Antimony
• Arsenic
• Barium
• Cadmium
• Chromium
• Mercury
• Selenium
